Nacionalen Osiguritelen Institut (NOI) / National Social Security Institute (NSSI)

The National Social Security Institute (NSI) is a public institution that manages state social security in the Republic of Bulgaria. The NSI administers compulsory insurance for general illness and maternity, unemployment, work accidents and occupational diseases, disability, old age and death. The National Social Security Institute is the competent Bulgarian institution for the implementation of the rules for the coordination of social security schemes and international agreements in the field of social security with regard to cash benefits for illness, maternity and death benefits; cash benefits for unemployment; old age, disability and survivor's pensions.
