About
Ove Arup set up Arup's first overseas office in Dublin in 1946 at the request of a local architect and has been delivering landmark engineering projects ever since across Ireland.
We have been involved in many significant projects that have helped to shape and create the vibrant, modern city that Dublin is today. More recent projects include the award winning Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport, the M50 motorway, Swords BRT Scheme and the Tallaght and Clondalkin Movement Framework Plans, helping to shape the modern infrastructure of the city and surrounding areas. Our involvement with many of Dublin's universities, including UCD and TCD spans a number of decades.
Our engineers are also involved in numerous international projects. Recently, staff developed a methodology for assessing the structural safety of textile factory buildings in Bangladesh as part of Design That Saves Lives. We also designed the new passenger terminal building for Zagreb International Airport in Croatia.
