About

Anglican Overseas Aid is a relief and development agency of the Anglican Church of Australia, Diocese of Melbourne. Our vision is for a peaceful, just and sustainable world for all. Founded by the late David Penman in 1988, the Archbishop of Melbourne's International Relief and Development Fund, as it was then known, was established as a vehicle for Anglicans to respond to the many requests for support from Anglican churches and organisations around the world.

Now called Anglican Overseas Aid, the fund, along with responding to disaster and emergency need, also supports development projects in countries across Africa, Central and South East Asia, the Middle East and the Pacific.
