The journey of wastesafe environmental limited (wel) began with a simple yet powerful realization: the growing environmental crisis particularly in the south asian context can no longer be ignored. With rapid urban expansion, population growth and industrialization came to an alarming increase in waste, pollution and the deterioration of our natural ecosystems. The consequences were visible overflowing landfills, untreated wastewater, chemical contamination and worsening impacts of climate change.

Our founders, a group of environmentally conscious professionals, researchers and engineers, saw both a challenge and an opportunity. With years of experience in waste management, urban infrastructure and environmental compliance, they envisioned an organization that would not just consult, but actively lead the transition to sustainable living one solution at a time. Wel was officially founded to bring together science, policy and practical implementation under one roof. From the beginning, our mission has been
clear: to deliver solutions that are sustainable, socially responsible and technically sound ensuring that human development does not come at the cost of nature. We started with small-scale initiatives focused on solid waste and fecal sludge management and quickly expanded into key areas like energy auditing, hazardous waste handling and integrated wastewater treatment. A key interest is environment-friendly & climate-resilient
infrastructure, which finally required for the people to stay and work. As we grew, we also embraced the importance of capacity building, offering trainings, seminars and international conferences to strengthen environmental knowledge and action across sectors.
