TEKUN Nasional

TEKUN Nasional is a Malaysian government agency established in 1998 under the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives. Its primary mission is to provide fast and accessible financing to Bumiputera entrepreneurs, helping them start, sustain, and grow their businesses. Over the years, TEKUN has evolved from a microfinancing provider into a comprehensive development institution that supports entrepreneurship through capital, mentorship, and business networking.

The agency offers various financing schemes tailored to different communities and business needs, including special programs for women, youth, and rural entrepreneurs. One of its notable initiatives is SPUMI (Skim Pembangunan Usahawan Masyarakat India), which provides targeted support to Indian entrepreneurs. TEKUN also runs programs like SPUMI Goes Big, offering financing up to RM100,000, and regularly disburses millions in support of small businesses across Malaysia.
