Mission Afrika

Mission Afrika (formerly: Danish Sudan Mission)

Mission Afrika is a faith based organization established in 1911 within the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denmark. The mission work began in Nigeria in 1913 as part of Sudan United Mission and lead to the establishment of The Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria. Today Mission Afrika is working with partners in Cameroun, Central African Republic, Mali, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and with SAT-7 in the Middle East. Our partnerships in Denmark and Africa are characterized by mutual recognition of each other as independent and unique partners.

Mission Afrika’s vision is inspired by the Great Commission (Math 28.20) and has the motto ‘Faith like ripples in a pond’. By this we envision a living, engaged and contagious faith promoted by words and action.
