About
The Banque pour le Commerce et l’Entrepreneuriat du Gabon (BCEG) is a financial institution established to support entrepreneurship and promote inclusive banking across Gabon. Its primary mission is to serve small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and very small businesses (TPEs), which are often underserved by traditional banks. BCEG aims to reduce financial exclusion and stimulate economic growth by offering accessible and tailored financial services.
Backed by the BGFIBank Group and supported by the Gabonese government, BCEG began operations with an initial capital of 4 billion FCFA, later increased to 17 billion FCFA. The bank provides a range of products including current accounts, mobile banking, and advisory services, while also investing in digital platforms to reach clients in remote areas. It plays a key role in addressing “banking deserts” and empowering local entrepreneurs to scale their businesses.
BCEG also collaborates with public institutions, incubators, and development partners to build a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem. Through training programs and financial tools, it helps Gabonese businesses become more competitive and resilient. The bank’s vision is to create national champions and foster sustainable development by placing entrepreneurship at the heart of its strategy.
