Grassroots Development Organization Kenya

Grassroot Development Organization Kenya (GRADO Kenya) is a Community-Based Organization registered in 2024 and based in Makueni County. The organization is dedicated to empowering local communities through integrated initiatives that address climate change, sexual and reproductive health, gender equality, Agriculture and food security humanitarian aid.
GRADO Kenya adopts a participatory and inclusive approach that enables community members to identify their needs and take active roles in finding sustainable solutions. In tackling climate change, the organization promotes climate smart agriculture, environmental conservation, and renewable energy awareness to enhance community resilience.
On sexual and reproductive health (SRH), GRADO Kenya conducts health education programs, youth mentorship, and awareness campaigns aimed at promoting safe reproductive health practices and reducing teenage pregnancies. The organization also advances gender equality by supporting women’s empowerment, leadership, and advocacy against gender-based violence.
In times of crisis, GRADO Kenya provides humanitarian aid, including food assistance, clean water, and psychosocial support to vulnerable households. Through collaboration with government agencies, partners, and local communities, the organization strives to build a resilient, healthy, and equitable society for all.
