AEGEE

AEGEE-Barcelona was founded in 1986 at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, originally named EGEE-Bellaterra. AEGEE (Association des Etats Généraux des Etudiants de l’Europe / European Students’ Forum) is a student organisation that promotes co-operation, communication and integration amongst young people in Europe. The recognition of volunteering and non-formal education as an essential part of the curriculum of an individual is also one of our core commitments. One of our main goals is to empower our members, giving them the tools to become the leaders of the future. The knowledge, learning and soft-skills acquired by our members after organising and participating in a variety of events, conferences and training courses provide the perfect synergies between their formal education and non-formal education.
