Cittalia-Fondazione Anci Ricerche

Cittalia is the Anci Foundation dedicated to promoting and spreading the culture of acceptance, integration and citizenship, helping to strengthen the role of cities in the implementation of social inclusion / integration policies.

Founded in 2008, the Foundation focused on the environment, institutions and innovation and then focused on welfare and social inclusion; study and research activities, such as the development of new projects, are dedicated to the themes of asylum, human rights, immigration, citizenship, social inclusion, social and social-health policies.

Cittalia, as an internal organization within the administrative organization of ANCI, provides support to the Central Service, a coordination structure of the Protection System for asylum seekers and refugees ( SPRAR ), whose management is entrusted to ANCI, based on an agreement stipulated with the Ministry of the Interior, pursuant to art. 1-sexies, c. 4, of the dln 416/1989. 
The Central Service has the task of promoting information, consulting, monitoring and technical assistance to Local Authorities that carry out "integrated reception" interventions in the national territory and make up the SPRAR network.
