Abraço Associação de Apoio a Pessoas com VIH/SIDA

ABRAÇO was born in December 1991 from the work of a group of volunteers to promote and improve hospital conditions and to support, on a psychological, social and material basis, people infected with HIV / AIDS and their families in the Egas Moniz Hospital in Lisbon.

In 1992, it was founded as a Private Institution of Social Solidarity (IPSS) for Health Purposes under Portuguese law, enjoying the status of Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).

As such, we are a Nonprofit Private Association that supports people infected and affected by HIV / AIDS by developing preventive actions to reduce the number of new cases of HIV infection.

We are currently working on 4 delegations (Lisbon, Setúbal, Funchal and Porto), fighting daily for a fairer and more egalitarian society.
