About
Community Right to Life Foundation (CRTLF) is a non-governmental Organization (NGO) that offers “protection services and restoring hope among needy/less privileged children in Uganda through Care and Support”. CRTLF was founded in 2016 having established a great need for the less-privileged children in different communities across Uganda. Further still it ascertained that the most children did not know their biological parents. Further still most of them could not identify themselves basing on their tribes and cultural linage. To make maters worth majority of the children are staying with old women who are at times not related to them, remember they are also needy population, For this matter as a family with Social Work Career, we Volunteered to open our home and started offering Counseling services to both parents and children in need or hearted.The mode of operation was voluntary which later attracted registration process kicking off from May 2024 under Uganda Registration Service Bureau (URSB) where secured a Certificate of Incorporation. Throughout this process, key people have tirelessly supported it technically, spiritually, materially and financially among others in response to insure that the organization is registered.
It is from that background that Community Right to Life Foundation is one of the Organizations reaching out to less-privileged children (aged 0 to 24 years) as a main target population in Uganda since 2016. It is ascertained that taking care of children is erudite and very expensive role in Uganda in such a way protect their lives. The following are the major needs (Food, Clothes, Education, Shelter and Medicine among others.
The VISION is Serving to improve and Meet the needs of a needy/special child, youth and child mother in Uganda.
MISSION: CRTLF is to Restoring Hope, and improving the quality of life among young people in Uganda through Psychosocial and Socioeconomic Support.
OBJECTIVES:
- To promote child wellness, living and development in response to attain to good Care and Support.
- To empower families and local authorities on matters of Child Right to Life.
- To promote Godly Devotionals among young people across Uganda.
- To build a Centre that provide basic needs of a less privileged Child.
- Bringing young people closer to role models, providing opportunities to engage meaningfully with youth-centered actors.
- Involving young people in the fulfilling of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), making them part of the solution through Career and Entrepreneurship Programs.
- Advocate and promote Child Care and Reintegration with parents and other family members.
- Empowering young people, by developing their capacities and providing spaces to transform their visions into tangible actions with social impact.
- To Provide Scholarships and Education Support to Vulnerable and Needy Children.
Activities:
- Conducting supportive Counseling (provide general Counseling, Spiritual and Emotional Support to both Children and Parents).
- Reintegrating children to their families with the help of responsible local Authorities.
- Training Stakeholders about Child Care, Young People Protection and their Rights
- Collaboration and networking with both local and development partners in response to Child Wellness.
- Identify and involve concerned parents in supportive sessions regarding Child Parenting and Management.
- Carrying out follow-up visits to assess the situation of children in the process of reintegration by their Natives.
- Mobilizing and Provision of general basic needs (food, clothes, medication, Shelter, fees and education among other needs).
- Teaching Children performing Arts and Entrepreneurship Skills.
- Conducting monitoring and evaluation services which will be on-going services.
- Running referral services to recognized Institutions.
