Heifer International is one of many non governmental organizations involved in rural development around the world. It works at the grassroots by providing animals and training to organized local groups that request assistance. Heifer International’s mission is to end hunger and poverty while caring for the Earth. Since 1944, Heifer International has provided livestock and environmentally sound agricultural training to improve the lives of those who struggle daily for reliable sources of food and income. Heifer is currently working in more than 40 countries, including the United States, to help families and communities become more self-reliant.

Heifer International - Philipines

Heifer International - Philippines is working for the values-based holistic development of poor communities in the country. Through the gifts of animals, farm materials, and livelihood inputs, Heifer Philippines strengthens the values of poor Filipino families and empowers them to work for their own sustainable and holistic development by helping one another.

It has a team of 21 dedicated members in the country program office and three regional field offices. Heifer International - Philippines works with 51 local NGO project partners to realize its vision and mission.
