Occupational safety worker

Performing professional tasks related to ensuring safety at work, the employer shall designate one or more professional workers for safety at work. A professional worker is responsible for carrying out his professional tasks to the employer. The employer must, however, enable the professional worker to independently perform professional tasks under the Safety and Risk Assessment Act (ZVDZ-1) (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 43/2011).

 The employer can hire outside organizations that have a work permit according to ZVDZ-1 for individual tasks or for performing all tasks of occupational safety and health when they can not provide this task with their professional staff.

 A professional worker for safety and health at work must have completed a full professional examination in the field of occupational safety and health, for performing professional tasks according to the Rules on Permits for Performing Professional Work in the Field of Occupational Safety (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 109/2011) .
