About

The Pan-American Association of Educational Credit Institutions (ÁPICE) is an international, non-profit organization comprised of public, private, and mixed entities (institutions, programs, and services) whose objective is the creation, promotion, coordination, administration, and dissemination of educational credit programs, scholarships, and other financial aid for students in the Americas.

ÁPICE was established in 1969 by eight institutions from Latin America and the Caribbean with the purpose of creating a Pan-American force that would integrate the actions undertaken individually by the various institutions, represent them internationally, and seek common solutions to address problems related to the financing of higher education.

ÁPICE aims to contribute to the optimal performance of its members, as well as the educational credit and higher education institutions, programs, and services, through research, dissemination, application, evaluation, and expansion of educational credit systems and options, financing, and the internationalization of education.
