Greenpeace Mexico

Greenpeace is the most recognized, determined and bold environmental organization in the defense of the environment in the world. Greenpeace is solely supported by donations from individuals who want a change to have a green, peaceful and unequal planet. That is, Greenpeace does not receive money from governments, companies, churches or political parties.

Thanks to this principle, our organization is independent in the economic and the political. Economic self-sufficiency allows Greenpeace to question, act, propose and give name and surname to those who destroy the environment and those who can reverse this situation.

To take care of our planet, we carry out nonviolent direct actions and peaceful civil resistance, with which we denounce environmental crimes and those who commit them, generate awareness, inform and inspire citizens to participate in the search for solutions.

In short, Greenpeace is a people's organization, which seeks to influence public policy, to involve and inspire change, and through which volunteers, partners, activists and cyberactivists constantly transit.

In the world, Greenpeace has 43 offices. In 2008 opened the most recent in Africa.

Promote a change in public and corporate policies for a social and responsible implementation of solutions, inspiring and contributing to the strengthening of an active and plural citizen movement, within the framework of a new model of consumption and production towards a world free of threats to the environment environment where the effects of climate change are reduced and mitigated.

To increase and consolidate our territorial presence through the development of campaigns that take care of the global dimension from the local level, supported by a strong contingent of partners, volunteers, cyber activists and local groups acting on the priorities, actions and proposals they wish to achieve in defense of the environment being thus a key factor in the fight against climate change.
