Kingo's solar service is prepaid, just like topping-up your mobile phone. Kingo installs solar systems or 'kingos' in customer homes and authorises community-based distributors to sell electricity to its customers by the hour, day, week and month. This flexible, risk-free payment method makes access to clean, safe and inexpensive electricity, accessible for even the remotest and most vulnerable of communities.

Kingo's goal is to sustainably electrify at least 1,000,000 homes globally by 2020, improving the lives of 5,000,000 people.
