The Croatian Journalists Association was founded on December 18, 1910 and with its more than 2,500 members is a member of the European (EFJ) and International Federation of Journalists (IFJ). HND is struggling to achieve professional interests, ethics and freedom of public expression, to promote the rights guaranteed by the Constitution to the public to be informed about all the developments in society, and for the rights of every person to freedom of expression, opinion and accessibility to all public media. The goal of the HND is also to preserve the reputation and dignity of the profession, protect journalists from the arbitrariness of the publisher, and ensure the material and social protection of journalists.
