About

Amnesty International is a global movement with 2 million members and donors, just over 100,000 in Sweden. For a year, another 5 million people, around the world, act for human rights. The vision is a world where every person enjoys all the rights that are included in the UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights. To reach the vision, Amnesty investigates and documents serious violations of human rights. Amnesty exerts pressure on those in power to prevent, prevent and stop these violations, and demands that those guilty of abuse be brought to justice. To increase knowledge of human rights, Amnesty International also works with information, education and advocacy.
