VSO is the world’s leading independent international development organisation that works through volunteers to fight poverty in developing countries. VSO's high-impact approach involves bringing people together to share skills, build capabilities, promote international understanding and action, and change lives to make the world a fairer place for all. VSO has been working in Ethiopia since 1995, changing lives through our work in health, education and with young people. VSO volunteers are working to improve neonatal, maternal and child health. We are supporting newborn babies, pregnant women and sick children to access quality health services. Our work in education is focussed on reaching pre-primary and primary age children in the most underserved areas.
