The International Agency for Development (AIDE) is a Non Governmental Organisation of humanitarian action and development aid, founded in 1986 and endowed with the special Consultative Status since 1993 and with the General Consultative Status since 2001 by the United Nations Economic and Social Council. AIDE is represented at the UN in New York, Geneva and Vienna, as well as at the five United Nations Regional Economical Commissions. Due to its international extension, the International Agency for Development established a union on April 11 1998 under the name of Federation of International Agencies for Development (AIDE - FEDERATION), settled in 17 countries and including 165 NGOs.
