About

The Australian International Health Institute (AIHI) is a not-for-profit company owned by The University of Melbourne. AIHI increases the capacity of health workers and planners across the Asia-Pacific region to respond to the health needs of their populations. It achieves this through four programs: 1) Project implementation and technical assistance; 2) International health education, training and workforce development; 3) Capacity building for international public health research; and 4) Leadership and Advocacy in health policy revision, program planning and evaluation to ensure sustainable health outcomes. AIHI brings together the full capacity and resources of the University of Melbourne in health service delivery, preventive health, and health sector reform. AIHI's focus areas of primary health care and mitigation of disease burden acknowledge the critical and emergent health issues facing countries of the region.
