IFOAM - International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movement (North America)

Founded in 1972, International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movement (IFOAM) is the only international umbrella organization for the organic world, uniting diverse range of stakeholders contributing to the organic vision.

Day by day, we work towards true sustainability in agriculture, from the field, through the value chain to the consumer. From building awareness among the public and advocating for sustainable policy, to building capacity and facilitating the transition of farmers to organic agriculture, everything we do aims to strengthen the organic movement and lead it forwards.

FOAM North America is the official self-organized regional body of IFOAM members in Canada, the United States, and the English-speaking Caribbean. Its mission is to educate the public, provide a forum to exchange ideas, and engage in North American-specific activities to advance organic agriculture and its principles, in partnership with IFOAM-Organics International and the global organic community. We seek to advance the landmarks of organic agriculture, including the Principles of Organic Agriculture and Organic 3.0.
