About

Whether you live in the Netherlands, Bangladesh, Uganda or the Philippines, your basic needs remain the same; a roof, clothes and enough to eat. Everyone has the innate capacity to achieve these requirements. Despite this, there are still people living in poverty which makes it difficult for them to access these basic human rights. We support these people using both innovative and proven solutions. so that they can break the cycle of poverty and take control of their own lives.

BRAC was founded by Sir Fazle Abed 45 years ago in a small village in Bangladesh. It has now grown into the largest development organization in the world with successful programs to tackle poverty fully and effectively, proceeding to be scaled up in other countries. BRAC’s programmes reach millions of people in Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tanzania, Uganda, South Sudan, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Myanmar, Nepal and the Philippines. Join BRAC in helping to bring out the best in people.
