The Lebanese Association for Rural Development (LRD) was established in 2007. Stop migration from the countryside towards the city and improve the lifestyle of the people of the countryside, which reflects the social security and prosperity at the level of all of Lebanon. We eliminate poverty and deprivation through education; empower women and activate their role in society; encourage the private sector to support economic progress in order to create decent productive jobs; helping farmers to find and disseminate the best productive crops; introducing modern technologies as a way of working for youth through which they can compensate for distance from the city and access to information and communication with global labor markets; protecting the environment, preserving the ecosystem and diversity in nature; produce and support eco-tourism to attract visitors to the Akkar region.
