ONCFS - Office National de la Chasse et de la Faune Sauvage

Public establishment under the double supervision of the Ministries in charge of the Ecology and Agriculture, the National Office of Hunting and Wildlife fulfills five main missions answering the main axes of the last Environmental Conference, in the continuation of the Grenelle of the environment :

• territorial surveillance and the environment and hunting police,
• studies and research on wildlife and its habitats,
• technical support and advice to administrations, local authorities, managers and developers of the territory,
• the evolution of the practice of hunting according to the principles of sustainable development and the development of management practices of rural territories respectful of the environment,
• the organization of the examination and the issue of the hunting license.
