Office National des Forêts (ONF) - Direction territoriale Méditerranée The NFB manages Midi-Méditerranée various public forests of the Pyrenees to the central massif, through the South Alps and the Mediterranean coast. With 1,346,900 hectares of public forests to manage, the 1,600 employees of the Office ensure the daily sustainable management of this heritage. This work is carried out within the framework of a forest management plan established over 20 years, in close proximity to local stakeholders, especially forest communes. 

Consistent with the territory of both Occitan and Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur, the new leadership Midi-Méditerranée has 19 departments and nearly 1,600 employees NFB. It's composed of :

• 10 territorial agencies (departmental or interdepartmental)
  
• A work agency
  
• A research agency
  
• 2 agencies catering mountain terrain (RTM) in the Pyrenees and South Alps
  
• A Forest Fire Defense Agency (DFCI).

• ensure ecological monitoring and report to the client.
