Habitat for Humanity Mexico

In Habitat for Humanity Mexico, AC promote and work for the right to adequate housing for all, especially for families with limited economic resources. Our job is to facilitate human and community development, enhancing existing resources among families and groups that make up the local community. We work under the system of "Mutual Aid", where the labor is in charge of the beneficiary families, who collaborate in the construction of their own house and that of the others; the construction of the houses is supported by volunteering both nationally and internationally and by corporate volunteer brigades. We arrived in Mexico in 1989 and since then, thanks to organized communities, volunteers and companies willing to support the right to adequate housing, We have benefited more than 50,000 families and changed the story to more than 270,514 people.
