About

Oy UniServices Ltd - Finnish University Consulting since 1997

Oy UniServices Ltd is a project management and consultancy company owned by the University of Jyväskylä in Finland.

Our mission is to contribute to sustainable development world-wide by providing consultancy and training services in the University's fields of expertise.

Our main business area is international development consultancy, particularly in education sector development. We have extensive references and in-house expertise in the following fields: teacher education, special/inclusive education, assessment and evaluation in education, career and guidance policy and practices, curricula development, educational leadership, educational technologies, ICT in education, educational research, and institutional reforms.

Training services are a growing part of our activities, comprising study visits to Finland and offering continuing education services to clients abroad. Existing training and research services, as well as educational technologies and well-known Finnish innovations (e.g. schooling system) and good practices in education and training, are incorporated into our consultancy projects.

We have garnered experience in international development projects in South-East Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, Russia, and South-East Asia since 1997. Such projects are based on the concept of institutional partnership. Institutional partnership aims at establishing long-term cooperation in education and research between universities in the partner countries and the University of Jyväskylä. Institutional partnership enhances the ability to achieve sustainable results, as cooperation is planned to continue after a single development project is completed.
