Scope of the Veterinary Inspection tasks
The Inspection’s tasks are as follows:
eradication of animal infectious diseases, including zoonoses;
control testing of animal infections;
monitoring of zoonoses and zoonotic agents and associated antimicrobial resistance in animals, in products of animal origin and feedstuffs;
testing of slaughter animals and products of animal origin;
veterinary border controls;
veterinary inspection in trade and export of animals and products according to provisions on veterinary inspection in trade;
inspection concerning application by farmers the community rules and requirements specified for direct support schemes under the common agricultural policy, as a special control organ of cross-compliance
