Arcadis Chile is the local subsidiary of Dutch engineering and consulting company Arcadis, an international consultancy, design, engineering and management services company active in infrastructure, water, environment, and construction sectors. In 2012, the company was awarded a consultancy contract to provide engineering services for Chilean state-owned Metro firm's subway expansion project in capital Santiago. That same year, it won a contract by Energía Austral - the holding company set up by European mining giant Xstrata to manage the development of the 640MW Cuervo dam project and two other dams in southern Chile - to perform an environmental impact assessment on an 800km transmission line designed by Chilean transmission company Transelec. Arcadis Chile is based in Santiago, Chile.
