Kanon Architects

Kanon Architects ehf  have worked since 1994 on architecture and organization. The company was founded by the architects Halldóra Bragadóttir, Helga B. Thóroddsen and Þórður Steingrímsson, who are also owners. Þorkell Magnússon architect later joined the owner group. The managing director is Halldóra Bragadóttir.

The company  provides public bodies, companies and individuals with architectural, organizational and landscape advice and services. At Kanon Architects, architects and landscape architects work, synchronizing seven people's team of professionals with diverse backgrounds and extensive knowledge and experience in their field.

The projects are in the design of new buildings, organization of all levels, interiors and renovations of older housing, landscape design, housing and construction consultancy, rural and residential construction, along with a variety of innovation and development projects.

Alongside general activities, the company has participated in many competitions and won numerous awards.

All employees  are authorized by the Ministry of the Environment in accordance with the Planning and Building Act to draw up their business area and are on the list of the Planning Agency of the Planning Advisers with the required rights. To meet the challenges of eco-design and organization, the company's employees have attended the Norwegian Architectural Society's ECOBOX course, NAL.

Kanon architects are members of SAMARK, an architectural firm. The company's employees are members of the Architects Association of Iceland AI and the Association of Icelandic Landscape Architects FÍLA.
