ZEPPELIN MOBILE SYSTEME GmbH is located in Meckenbeuren near Friedrichshafen (Lake Constance) and is known as one of the best manufacturers of Shelter Systems in the world. ZEPPELIN-Shelters® are recognised as reliable, well-proven products for the severest duty in almost all countries on earth. Based on a self-supporting, lightweight, aluminium-sandwich structure, through objective-oriented, creative development and realisation of solutions to demanding problems, ZEPPELIN-Shelters® have become a cornerstone in the strategic provision of mobile humanitarian aid and protection systems.

The basis for ZEPPELIN MOBILE SYSTEME GmbH was set in 1950, when Metallwerke GmbH was founded by the ZeppelinFoundation as a successor to Zeppelin Luftschiffbau GmbH. Thus, the activities that led to today's mobile systems and Shelter technology had started. In the early nineties, the Shelter sector became independent under the name Zeppelin Systemtechnik, which was later changed to ZEPPELIN MOBILE SYSTEME GmbH. In the scope of a planned, long-term restructuring, the business partners and locations have been rearranged.
