About

Parliamentarians for Global Action (PGA), a non-profit, non-partisan international network of over 1,000 legislators in approximately 130 elected parliaments around the globe, aims to promote peace, democracy, the rule of law, human rights, gender equality and population issues by informing, convening, and mobilizing parliamentarians to realize these goals.

PGA operates under the political direction of the Executive Committee and the International Council. The Executive Committee meets twice a year to decide on PGA's future programme activities. The International Council meets once a year during the Annual Forum to review programme work and to elect members to the Committee and Council. Members of the Comittee are elected on a 40:60 gender ratio.
