Fresh water is a precious and limited commodity whose consumption has increased tenfold, according to World Water Day in the last 100 years. However, only 2.5% of the water resources globally are fresh water. The other good 97% are salt water and cannot be easily used for most of the basic needs of our daily lives. UST provides plants for seawater and brackish water desalination by reverse osmosis systems. These can be modified to specific problems. The UST plants are combinable with other treatment processes, such as purification and remineralization, and can be applied to a lot of different needs like drinking water production, purification for medical purposes, etc.
