Association 2 Mains

The Association 2 Mains has been involved since 2006 in a sustainable and solidarity-based approach in the fields of water, waste and agriculture.

Its main missions are the improvement of the living conditions of the population and the preservation of the environment.

Participatory methodology is at the heart of the specificity of 2Mains's actions: projects are defined following local demand and then developed in partnership, with emphasis on setting up and strengthening local, regional and international synergies. The activities aim to make the communities actors of their development by making them autonomous in the perpetuation of the projects carried out.

Description of the activities of the organization:

- Transfer of water purification technology through participatory structuring of water services at community level (40,000 beneficiaries)

- Capacity building of producers and distillers of ylang-ylang for the establishment of a Sustainable Ylang sector in the Comoros (1500 beneficiaries)

- Establishment of an integrated household waste management system in the secondary cities of the Union of the Comoros: collection and recycling / composting of household waste for 45,000 beneficiaries)

Our strong point, the search for innovative techniques adapted to local constraints and transferable to the beneficiaries.
