The Government of Ghana has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Greater Kumasi Metropolitan Area Sanitation and Water project (GKMA SWP), and intends to apply part of the allocated proceeds towards payments under contract for the Construction of gender friendly Institutional Toilet Facilities (in 6 lots); including water connection and solid waste management facilities in selected institutions in the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly as detailed per lots in the Table below:

The Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources in collaboration with the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Construction of Gender Friendly Institutional Facilities, Water Connection and Solid Waste management Facilities within selected Institutions within the Kwadaso Municipal Assembly for Construction Period of Six (6) months.
Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing” July 2016 Revised November 2017, August 2018 and November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
Bidders may bid for more than 1 lot, as further defined in the bidding document. However, no Bidder will be awarded more than one contract.
Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the Project Coordinating Unit of the GKMA Sanitation and Water Project at any of the addresses 1&2 below and inspect the bidding documents during office hours 0900 to 1700 hours.
The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the addresses 1 & 2 below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of GH¢500 for each lot. The method of payment will be by cash. The document will be received in person on a pen-drive.
Bids must be delivered to the Addresses 3 below on or before 10.00 hours local time, October 11, 2022. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at addresses 3 below at 10.30 hours local time on October 11, 2022.
All Bids must clearly indicate the Lot Number at the back of the Envelope. And not more than one lot shall be put in the same envelope.
All Bids must be accompanied by a valid Bid Security in the Sum of a Minimum of 2% of the Bid Price for each Lot.
All Bids must be accompanied by a Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and/or Sexual Harassment (SH) Declaration.
