Locations

Maldives

The Maldives prioritizes transport connectivity, coastal protection, renewable energy, and tourism-related infrastructure to support its island-based economy. Major investments focus on airport expansion, inter-island bridges, port facilities, and climate-resilient infrastructure to address rising sea levels. Financing relies on public funds, sovereign borrowing, and foreign partnerships, particularly from regional partners. Debt sustainability, environmental vulnerability, and limited domestic revenue capacity remain key challenges for long-term infrastructure development.
