Global study on the economic, fiscal and social cost of out-of-school children and young people’s disengagement from education

Description

United Nations Educational, Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) hereby invite qualified companies to submit sealed tenders as follows: Objective/s of the consultancy: To develop a global report presenting a calculation of the lost opportunity and the economic, fiscal and social costs of out-of-school children, young people’s disengagement from education, including the failure to achieve universal basic skills and higher-level skills such as social and emotional skills, where data is available. The report should present sex-disaggregated data and recommendations on how best to intervene to reduce the economic, fiscal and social costs and to achieve universal basic skills as well as higher-level skills. This report aims to generate evidence and inform national policies and programmes to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 4 to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
