Objective and Purpose of the Assignment
The Project aims to provide aligned and expansion of capacity for the end-to-end passenger journey. To achieve this, the Project will require: optimization of NAIA’s current airside and landside operations by maximizing runway movements; increasing taxiway and stand capacity; and improving process and experience of passenger terminal and landside infrastructure components.
The project seeks to enhance passenger experience at NAIA and the regional airports (to be bundled). By achieving Optimum range for NAIA and the bundled regional airports, to enhance passenger experience and acceptable queuing times without incurring excessing capital and operating costs. Building on the Asian Development Bank's (ADB) accumulated knowledge and experience in airport infrastructure, the project provides comprehensive support focusing on helping DOTr strengthen aviation services, which includes compliance with international standards set by International Air Transport Association (IATA), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), among others.
