To outline the renewable resources and port and transmission logistics needed to make Northeast Brazil (NE) a sustainable green hydrogen (GH2) producer for local and international demand of green hydrogen; green ammonia; green fertilizers; green methanol and green jet fuel. The World Bank has already launched a Phase 1 study focusing on business opportunities for low-carbon hydrogen (LCH) in Brazil. Given the synergies of the proposed study with Phase 1 (see Annex 1 – ToR for Phase 1 study for reference); the World Bank will make information produced during Phase 1 available to the selected consultant for this assignment. The Consultant will thus utilize the material prepared under Phase 1 that will be relevant for this study.
