Description

The United Nations Educational, Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) hereby invites qualified companies/individuals to submit proposals to conduct the Evaluation of the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP). The evaluation will assess the relevance, effectiveness and impact of the ICTP's tree-fold mandate of (i) conducting world-class research in frontier areas of science, (ii) promoting advanced studies and research in physical and mathematical sciences particularly in the developing world, and (iii) providing an international forum for scientists from all countries to interact. It will further assess its coherence with UNESCO’s strategic objectives and determine the efficiency and sustainability of the center. The objective is for the evaluation to provide evidence and recommendations to improve the implementation of this Category I Institute's activities. The time schedule for the evaluation is planned between March 2024 and July 2024. It is mandatory that none of the members of the evaluation team have been previously involved in the implementation of the activities under review. Please refer to attached procurement notice.
