Overview : Please find attached the cancellation notice for the Re-Advertisement (the previous process) of the subject RFP. FYI, after the RFP was re-advertised, some changes needed to be introduced in the TOR. Due to that, we are now Re-advertising the RFP for the 2nd time with slightly changed TOR and Evaluation criteria, which is also attached to this email as a second attachment. UNDP Afghanistan is seeking the services of professional companies that can provide the following security services throughout Afghanistan:
a.Provision of a fully trained and equipped guard force of armed Third Country National (TCN), preferably former UK, or Indian, Army Gurkhas, at UNDP facilities across Afghanistan as and where required;
b.Provision of trained and equipped Afghan unarmed guard force personnel at UNDP facilities as and where required;
c.Provision of fully trained and equipped EDD teams, each team consisting of one trained explosive detection dog and one TCN handler, at UNDP facilities across Afghanistan as and where required;
d.Continuous and ongoing training and re-training of all contracted security personnel and resources on a regular, programmed and scheduled basis as agreed between the service provider and UNDP Security Team.
The service provider/s shall provide all supervisory, management and other personnel with the required experience, education and ability and other resources to plan and provide security services operations to the UNDP facilities across Afghanistan as defined in the Statement of Works. The service provider/s shall perform to the standards and shall follow all applications and directives as identified in the Statement of Works to include international best practice procedures

Overview : RFP Ref: UNDPAFG/2013/064 - Provision of Equipped Security Guards, Unarmed Guard and Equipped EDD Teams in Afghanistan on a Long Term Basis (Including Addendum-1) Through this notification UNDP AFG wishes to extend the initial deadline of the RFP until 11:00 am on 17 September 2013 (Kabul local time). Companies who have already submitted their proposals do not need to resubmit as their initial submission will be considered valid unless the company wishes to revise their porposal and resubmit. In the event of resubmission of the proposal by a company, their initial submission will be considered invalid and will remain unopened for 2 weeks from 17 September 2013 so that the invalid documents could be collected by the respective company on their own initiative from SCMO UNDP. After the aforementioned 2 weeks period the invalidated documents will be destroyed by UNDP.
