Rehabilitation and expansion of Mnazi Moga Hospital on Zanzibar Island

Objectives: The tender aims to rehabilitate and expand the Mnazi Mmoja Hospital in Zanzibar, enhancing healthcare infrastructure and services on the island. It includes constructing new buildings on the main campus, such as outpatient facilities, day hospital, emergency units, radiology, operating rooms, and a VIP ward. Additionally, the project involves demolishing and replacing the existing maternity hospital with a five-floor facility housing various medical and administrative departments. The rehabilitation of existing buildings at both the main campus and Kidongo Chekundu mental hospital is also part of the project, along with the supply of electrical and mechanical installations. The total construction period is planned for 20 months, with a defect liability phase of 12 months.
