The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Guatemala intends to award a Cost Plus Fixed Fee Completion Type Contract to implement the LEDS Project in Guatemala.

The Low Emission Development Strategy project (LEDS Project) will support USAID/Guatemala and the Government of Guatemala (GOG) in the development and implementation of low emission development in Guatemala by reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from priority sectors in the Guatemalan economy. The overall objective of the project is to partner with the GOG to develop and implement a LEDS Project and build institutional capacity in order to reduce the effects of climate change and mitigate GHG emissions. To achieve this, the project will identify ways to support the GOG on the planning, design, policy development, and implementation of the LEDS Project, as well as promote participatory processes with the private sector and civil society.
