 ThePeople's Republic of China has receivedfinancing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Jiangxi Wuxikou Integrated Flood Management Project, and intends to apply partof the proceeds for consulting services.

The consulting services("the Services") include setting up projectconsulting services panel, organizing  tour study, training and seminar, implementing part of  project Environment & Social Management Plan and project management reporting, and providing  technical assistance to PMO implementing procurement and contract management.

Theaggregate investment of Jiangxi Wuxikou Integrated Flood Management Project is US$ 513.7 million; loan amount is US $ 100 million,the estimate implementation duration is six years (September 2013- June 2019). The project includes:

1.    Component 1: Construction ofWuxikou Flood Control Scheme
2.    Component 2: Capacity Building for Integrated Flood Risk Management System
3.    Component 3: Implementation ofResettlement Action Plan
4.    Component 4: Project Managementand Implementation Support

JiangxiWuxikouIntegrated Flood Management Project Management Office (PMO) now invites eligible consulting firms ("Consultants") toindicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they havethe required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteriaare: have the experience ofsuccessful implementation of similar assignments, and the availability of appropriate skills among staff.

Theattention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank'sGuidelines: Selection and Employment ofConsultants [under IBRD Loansand IDA Credits & Grants] by World Bank Borrowers (January, 2011 "Consultant Guidelines"), settingforth the World Bank's policy on conflict of interest.

 Consultants mayassociate with other firms in the form of a joint venture or a subconsultancy to enhance theirqualifications.

 AConsultant will be selected in accordance with the Quality ? and Cost - BasedSelection (QCBS) method or the Quality - BasedSelection (QBS) methodset out in the Consultant Guidelines.
