Locations
Syria
Syria’s infrastructure has been extensively damaged by prolonged conflict, affecting transport networks, energy systems, water supply, and housing. Reconstruction needs are substantial, with priority given to restoring basic services and critical public utilities. Financing capacity is severely constrained by economic sanctions, fiscal limitations, and limited foreign investment. Political instability and fragmented governance structures continue to hinder large-scale infrastructure recovery and long-term planning.
