The objective of this analytical work is to define the African Development Bank’s strategic role in supporting GoU to better manage and develop its water resources. The assignment will provide a strategic framework for sequencing and prioritizing water resources investments in Uganda in such a way as to maximize their contribution to economic growth and poverty reduction. The assignment will also generate and disseminate knowledge on the policy, legislation, institutional strategies, capacities, and general state of water and sanitation systems in the country.

The African Development Bank is a regional multilateral development finance institution, established in 1963, with a mandate to further economic development and social progress of African countries, individually and collectively. 80 member countries including all the 54 African countries and 26 non-African countries in the Americas, Europe and Asia own the Bank.
Supports initiatives that ensure access to safe water, sanitation systems, and hygiene services to improve public health and living conditions.
