Emergency tender for procurement of mpox vaccines

Objectives: UNICEF, in collaboration with Africa CDC, WHO, Gavi, and PAHO, is seeking comprehensive proposals from manufacturers for the emergency procurement of mpox vaccines. The primary objectives are to secure access to high-quality mpox vaccines for immediate use aligned with National, Continental, and Global strategies; ensure price affordability for effective outbreak response; secure production capacity for 2024-2025 in anticipation of a global stockpile; and diversify the supplier base, including manufacturing efforts in Africa. The tender aims to establish a collaborative procurement framework to optimize supply and demand allocations under clear, transparent processes.
