Coastal/Hydro Modelling Officer

Objectives: The objective of the project is to reduce coastal flooding risks in Egypt’s North Coast due to projected sea level rise and more frequent, intense storm events. Output 1 focuses on constructing sand dune dikes at hotspots within the Nile Delta, and Output 2 aims at developing an Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) plan for the entire North Coast to manage long-term climate risks, enhancing Egypt's adaptability to flood risks. The project facilitates short-term change by mitigating coastal threats and long-term change by integrating climate risks into coastal planning and management.
